Vintage Marx Prototype Nutty Mads Donald The Demon 6 Figure

We are offering several vintage hand-made prototypes / samples from the Marx Toy Company Engineering Department. The Company changed hands several times, until its assets were finally liquidated in 1980. Chuck hung onto his collection until he passed away. The item(s) being offered here, is from the collection of Chuck Saults.

Description - MARX PROTOTYPE NUTTY MADS DONALD THE DEMON FIGURE - This 6-inch Tall (155mm) figure is not a machine molded plastic figure. It is a hand made / sculpted work of art, by the professional designers/artists who worked at the Marx Toy Company in the 1960's. It is a sculpted clay figure over a wire inner frame, and then painted green.

When completed, these figures would be used to create the steel injection molds for mass production. Look closely at the photos. The figures are much more detailed than the mass produced plastic figures. I assume this is because some of the detail is lost when you go from handmade to mass production.
