Vintage Fort Apache Play Set

Great Christmas gift for collectors and kids alike. This set would be a hit set up around your Christmas tree. Huge vintage collection of Marx Fort Apache, Battle of the Blue and Grey. And a bunch of MPC and unmarked figures.

Been putting this collection together since the fifties. Included are - 71 cavalry and fort soldiers, pioneers, Civil war soldiers.

7 more unmarked fort defenders. Most are Marx with many other unmarked figures.

7 Marx cavalry horses and 3 Marx Indian horses. Six rare Stuart horses with hard to find rubber saddles with bridles. Three other very high quality horses, likely Marx, molded horses with saddles. The fort is made up of a collection of three forts, with hinged gates and 5 complete lookout towers.

Hard to find Lincoln and General grant figures from the Blue and Grey playset. As well as Rin Tin Tin from the early fifties playset. Many gems here if you study the photos. Majority of everything is vintage from the fifties and sixties, with a few recast figures from the original molds. This is all my stuff.

Much of it I played with as a child. Everything is still in very good condition. Extra pieces not included in the photos include - 7 wall sections with cracks and breaks, still usable. 2 partial entrance gates, no gates or overhead signs.

These pieces are not in the photos. Also not in photos - 8 extra wall sections with walkways, three more with no walkways, all in good condition. Partial block house, three walls, one cracked, good roof, no floor.

Too much here to describe in great detail. Everything included in the photos is good to go. I didn't use the extra pieces to build a bigger fort because where was not room on the table to display everything.

The third photo shows a scaled back set up. Note - Most of the wall sections don't hold securely. They were even like that when new. In the included photos several of them are held together with invisible scotch tape, which does a good job without being too noticeable. I have included photos that clearly show the condition of everything.

This may well be one of the biggest private collections in the country. Everything here has been described as accurately as possible. But there is too much here to guarantee we have perfectly covered everything.
