Very Vintage 1950's Marx Modern Service Center With Box! A TREASURE
Another FANTASTIC Find from Michael's Treasure House.... This is a great example of a 1950's Marx MODERN SERVICE CENTER.... The floor of the piece has a few scratches, nothing to take away from its presentation.
My husband, a big collector of various venues, has had on display for over 25+ years in our home. The Box, though some age, discoloration is great and makes for a fantastic display (which we have done, on a high shelf for many years). Assembled for display, the piece measures approx.
26" long and 11" tall. Please pay special attention to box, highlighting "age and authenticity of this playset"and the no. 3457 well marked and the Louis J. The interior wall sections (tin) are wonderful and the lithographics unscathed. Again the condition of actual station is very very good.No dents or bends etc. And the "lift" working well up to the roof. In all our research we have not seen this particular Marx Play Set / Service Center. My husband/owner is engineer and can disassemble properly.... And he originally assembled it.
