MARX 4676 PLAYSET, THE UNTOUCHABLES (1961). One of the most desirable and hardest to find sets of them all, we are calling this the ULTIMATE Untouchables playset since it has everything and then some, plus related collectibles that really add to the cool factor. Set includes everything listed in Playset Magazine, including beautiful original playset mat, instruction sheet, the theater marquee with mounting'struts', chimney, doors and all hard plastic parts of the warehouse including the railing. One end broken off but there is also present an exact reproduction replacement part! Doors and lanterns on the tin litho town, the green violin case and tiny machine gun that goes into it, the cap-firing pistol and bullets still in the sealed bag , a ll of the small plastic parts are intact other than the railing described, all figures are flawless including perfect Al Capone & Elliot Ness white plastic figures.

PLUS: the gangster & g-men figures are an expanded set of 22 figures (11 each gangsters, moll & G-men) plus an extra white plastic cop. (he fits in nicely but is from some other Marx set). A very nice copy of the original RCA Victor soundtrack album to the TV series, an original paperback version of the Elliot Ness'Untouchables - The Real Story' autobiography that inspired the films & TV series, a color cast photo of The Untouchables. By Paul Picerni, aka Rico (with certificate of authenticity from Paul Picerni's website), and Plastic Figure & Playset Collector #15 from October 1991 that contains fabulous insight into the Untouchables playset as well as an interview with Robert Stack!

This issue has a crease down the center from being folded lengthwise at some point, and the subscriber's address label has been removed. The box lid has a couple of small punch/cut holes and some light wear and light stains, and has the typical tears from the original staples being pulled out while opening the box for the first time.
