Rare Unusual Marx Battle of the Blue and Gray No. According to Playset Magazine, this smaller #R-4745 early Battle of the Blue and Gray playset came from Striplings department store in Texas and got 1 ½ sets of infantry (24) and just 1 rider per side, 1 cannon, and no cassion unit. This version of the Blue and Gray. Is quite rare and hard to find. I will do my best to list the contents but the photos will show it best and everything shown is included.

The Playset includes the original box (measures approximately 28 ½ x 14 ½ x 4 and is in good condition), 1 Union flag, 1 Confederate flag with poles and base, 2 A style trees, Lincoln, Grant, and General Lee figures, 1 large gray tent, 3 gray smaller pup tents, 1 black shell firing cannon with six shells, 1 dark brown redoubt, 1 gray stack of rifles, 2 identical gray broken wagon wheels (came intentionally broken), 1 mortar, 1 gray stretcher, 1 gray crate of rifles, 2 brown buckets, 1 brown rack of cannon balls, 2 Brown kegs on stands, 1 gray circle C sandbag enplacement,, 2 brown boxes, 1 gray drum, 2 brown table, 2 brown spiked barricades, 1 gray barrel, 1 brown three legged stool, 1 brown large bucket, 1 brown lawn jockey, 28 Union soldiers, 1 brown horse, 19 Confederate soldiers (3 small included pieces of plastic need to be glued on), 1 cream colored horse, 5 green, 6 red, and 1 white bag in various conditions, 1 instruction sheet (torn in half), and 1 tin lithographed mansion with the back brace bar, chimneys red and gray shingle type roof, and white hard plastic white portico.
