Original 1950s Rin Tin Tin Fort Apache Playset. This is a playset my folks bought for me for Christmas when I was about 8 yrs old. My friends and I had multiple Marx sets, so there may be a figure gone...
Or an extra one added. The front gate is totally intact. The figure of an Indian shot with an arrow (as depicting what happened to Sal Mineo during the movie Tonka) is fairly rare... Much more so with the arrow intact.
All the'skinny' Indians are there... And there are both regular Stockade and Campfire Indians. One photo shows damaged pieces: The top of a figure's feather, the top corner of a piece of wall, two ladders (next to a good one) and the remains of a guard house. I dont recall my set ever having floors in the guard houses.
I included Rip and Rinty there only so you could see their names on the bottoms. Unfortunately, Rusty and all the accessories disappeared while I was in college and the Army. Please carefully review the photos and ask all questions prior to purchasing. This item is in the category "Toys & Hobbies\Vintage & Antique Toys\Play Sets".
