Marx #4719 Robin Hood Castle Play Set Tin Litho 1956 Vtg with Orig Box

Marx #4719 Robin Hood Castle Play Set Tin Litho 1956 Vintage with Original Box. An excellent, original 1956 Marx play set that is missing just a few parts. Tin parts are in excellent condition, bright colors, not scuffed up, no dents, no missing tabs, no rust. Box is original, but brittle, box top has broken into parts as shown.

No plastic parts are chewed or have teethmarks, a few guys have minor issues like a break in their bow string. Full Tin Litho Castle, including plastic gate with chain and all walls, all tin is straight and has all its tabs, all plastic parts to complete including flags (one flag needs to be glued). 8 Light green figures: Robin Hood, Little John, Maid Marion, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham and 3 unmarked (a 9th guy has a broken leg, see last photo). 7 Brown figures: 2 with poles, 2 with daggers, 2 with bows and 1 calling.

12 Silver knights: 2 are in riding position, 1 has a removable jousting pole. 9 Dark green pieces: 2 siege ladders, 1 bow, 1 horn, 1 quiver, 1 archery target, 1 harp, 1 bench, 1 fire pit base. 17 Black rocks: 8 on sprue, 9 loose. Set is missing the pennant, catapult, battering ram, deer, arrows, a green bench, parts for the fire pit and instruction sheet (possibly missing a little more). Box is dry and brittle, box top has broken into parts as shown.... Box parts could be glued onto another piece of cardboard to reasonably restore for display. Ask questions if you have them.
