Grant's MPC Army Battlefront Playset with Tanks & German Pillbox Marx Timmee

Here for sale is one original Multiple Toymakers (MPC) U. Made for Grant's Department Store in very good condition. The box to the playset is in good condition but does have minor scuffs, bends, and staple holes.

To the best of my knowledge, all large pieces are present and in very good condition. The two-piece German Pillbox is all there but does need to be glued together again for stability.

I have two of these pillboxes in my personal collection and both were glued together when I acquired them. These pillboxes are very hard to find today. All five vehicles including the three tanks, the Heavy Troop Truck, and the Command Jeep are in very good condition. Both the cannons are also in very good condition but neither of them have the metal spring needed to "shoot" shells.

All axles on these five vehicles and two cannons are present and all wheels turn when any of the units is placed on the floor and "driven" along. The turret on the Swivel Turret Tank is firmly attached and can be turned with ease. Please note that the turret is a slightly different color than the body of the tank, but some MPC tanks came this way.

There are three blue " Sitters" in the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) and another blue "Sitter" (or driver) in the Command Jeep. The gantry and missile on the Missile Launching Tank are also present.

The tarp on the Heavy Troop Truck has only one of the four attachment pegs still present, but stays in position well as is. Each of the two tents has all four of the original plastic tent poles.

There are also four sections of sandbags. Finally, there are two vintage MPC gold machine guns included here. This set comes with 25 MPC Non-Ringhand Soldiers that were originally used with this playset. Additionally, there are 28 recast MPC German WWII Soldiers also included with this listing.

If you had one of these playsets as a child, perhaps this is the set that would help rekindle all of those good memories. Or, perhaps you could use these to help fill out your own collection.
