1963 MARX VINTAGE LARGE D-DAY PARTIAL SET ORIGINAL. One of the greatest sets Marx made, original D-Day Landing. Has original playmat in excellent condition, folds but no damage, no wrinkles, one of the best I have seen. Matching, clean, complete and original. Not a put-together set, I believe this is all out of one nostalgically intact set. All nostalgically intact from the same set except parachutes. Perfect Exploding Mountain with clean original trigger.

Near perfect U-String It Barbed Wire and log-and-barbwire sections, clean, unbroken. Vehicles here are excellent and matching D-Day green. 5 landing craft original to this set. Landing Craft are nice with correct turrets and gates attached.

2 jeeps, 2 rafts, 1 elevating small cannon. 2 silver shell firing machine guns 1 tripod, has shells on sprue.

1 large raft with left and right handed paddles tough to find, in ex condition no problems. No tears, stretches or wrinkles. Hard Plastic all matching original to set 2 sets of battlefield accessories w/ perfect U-String It Barb wire, I think that is original rubberbands you see. 8 mine flags, 2 log-with-barbwire , perfect no breaks; bridges, fallen logs, 8 mines.

4 Pill boxes perfect all. Matching to accessories, nostalgically intact and clean like everything else. Exploding mountain with original mechanism, every part is matching, clean, complete and original. Note only 4 have wheels. 1 has under wing damage but looks good from all other directions.

Figures 31 or so Germans. That's the only thing that doesn't seem right to me. Broken into groups in the photos so you can do your due diligence; I note that the groups (GIs, Marines, Germans). Are not complete groups but the figures and poses are excellent, unbroken and clean and seems like colors are matching D-Day green...

Good thing about this set is you can add figures and the colors will be close if not matching; these all match in their groups. 3 parachutes and 4 parachutists - not as bright and matched as they look. Merry Christmas and thanks for looking!
