Vintage Louis Marx Castle Playset Vikings & Knights Model 4743 75 Figures W/ Original Box & Mat. Up for sell is a vintage Louis Marx castle playset Vikings and Knights. This set comes with the original box, as well as the original plastic playmat. There are a total of 75 figures that come with the castle playset, including 42 Vikings from 1965, 3 Vikings from 1970, 27 Knights from 1965, and 3 horses from the 60s/early 70s.

The castle itself is from 1972 with the box being marked MCMLXXII. The box is in fair condition and is exactly as shown in the photos. The castle is in very good to excellent condition, with no bends, dents, etc. And the paint is bright and crisp.

The playset appears to have all of the castle walls and red toppers, as well as the original castle flags. The original drawbridge door and chain are included, however the door frame that houses the door is not included.

All of the Vikings and Knights are in excellent condition and are clearly marked Louis Marx with a corresponding manufactured date in Roman Numerals. The horses are Marx, however they are unmarked. The original playmat is also included and is in very good condition.

The mat measures approximately 41 ½ x 27 inches. This vintage Louis Marx Vikings and Knights castle playset will make a great addition to your collection or a perfect gift for a friend.
