This is an original Marx Toy Company, Knights and Vikings Castle playset. It was mine as a young child and has seen many battles waged in play. I do not have a complete listing of the components, but believe it to be at least 95% complete.

The castle itself consisted of a molded plastic base, which is relatively scarce, since it was easily broken. It can be repaired, but I will leave that to the collector that buys this item.

The metal and plastic castle wall structures are complete and intact. The small flags on the tallest part of the castle are intact and included.

The vikings and knights are included. There is one complete catapult and two "rock" bombs included. I seem to recall that there was two of these, but again, through time one has been lost. I have constructed a wooden crate to contain and protection the castle, within the original box. It was once stored in my mother's basement and has had some mold and water damage to the outside of the actual box. This can be seen in the two pictures included in the description. The box has some mold growth on it, and many tears and bruises to it as can been seen in the photos. Again, I have not seen anyone list the base, as these are very fragile and were probably destroyed in play for most playsets. This is your chance to acquire a nearly complete one with the golden grail - the complete base. Please ask any questions that you may have and I will attempt to respond to my best ability.
