Rare and Vintage Marx Desert Fox Play Set 4178 from 1972. Complete with accessories, manual, and box. Unfortunately, I do NOT have any bags.

So, it's 99.999% Four complete mold shots of German Vehicles in light gray soft plastic. Excellent condition with wheels and axles. Two #351 tanks, one armored car, and one motorcycle with sidecar per set. Three complete mold shots of American Vehicles in waxy tan soft plastic. One #41 tank, one half track, one jeep, one AT cannon, one small raft per set. Desert sets had no Landing Craft. One #51 large American tank in waxy tan soft plastic. Excellent condition with wheels and axles, machine gun. One half mold shot of Palms (2) and Ferns (2). Trunks and bases brown hard plastic.

Four Concertina Rolls barbed wire in silver soft plastic. This set had no shell firing guns due to child safety laws.

No warning placard was included. One Non Firing German M-88 cannon in light gray hard plastic. One Non Firing American howitzer in silver hard plastic. Unbroken One American machine gun and tripod in silver hard plastic. (Firing version - you can pull mechanism for authenticity - I did not have the heart) Figures are 54mm or 1/32 scale.

Three complete mold shots of 16 German soldiers in light gray soft plastic. One complete mold shot of Series 1 and 2 ("Medical") color matching American soldiers in waxy tan soft plastic. Total of 31 figures and litter. One complete mold shot of Series 1 color matching American soldiers in a nice dark waxy OD green. These were known included in this set.

Seven in light gray soft plastic. One in dark gray soft plastic (sorry - the one obvious flaw). Eight American seated soldiers in color matching waxy tan soft plastic. One complete mold shot tents and cot. Color matching in waxy tan soft plastic.

Large command tent, three pup tents, complete two piece cot. Play Mat in very good+ condition. May be some pin holes and creases.

No tears, melts, or discoloration. One Small Weapons sprue in silver soft plastic. One Small Weapons sprue in waxy OD green soft plastic. Replica instruction sheet complete in excellent condition. (This is the ONLY non-vintage item in this set) Box is a solid C7. Age discoloration, worn, tears and repairs - but structural. 27" x 15" x 4.5 Please look carefully at the photos. Feel free to ask any questions.
