Manufactured by Louis Marx in 1934 it's called the "Spic & Span Garage". The set is in wonderful museum quality condition. You wouldn't believe how difficult a set like this is to find.

Likely at the height of the Depression they didn't sell at all. Oh sure, on very rare occasion you can find a completely rusted truck from this series. But try to find one that is still all original, not repainted, and in high grade condition. It is remarkable to have the box survive at all, let alone in such good condition.

Box itself is a beauty. The set includes a tanker truck, a dump truck with blue cab and red bed, a second dump truck with green cab and red bed, a stake truck, and a streamlined roadster convertible. They're are all push-type; designed without a mechanical motor. They're all streamlined (aka art deco design). The box was originally rectangular.

Instructions printed on the inside show how to fold it into a usable play garage with doors and windows that opened and closed. It has a tiled roof. Printed on the sides are gas station paraphernalia, doors and windows that open and close, and even a rest room. "Spic & Span Garage" was printed above one door.

Garage is 12" x 7" x 8. Condition: The paint is all original. Nothing has been touched up or repaired.

The radiator grille assemblies are all original as well. All have their original black wooden wheels.

Blue and red stake truck: EXC to EXC+. Blue and red dump truck: EXC.

Green and red dump truck: EXC+. Red and Silver tanker truck: EXC.

Box grades VG+ to excellent and is complete. One corner was split and had been repaired. No other tears or creases.

Just some corner and edge wear due to age. Some of these photos were professionally taken. This very well may be the last surviving example of this set and what a wonder to behold in such phenomenal condition.

Have never seen even another image of this set on the web. Don't expect this to last long on the market so don't miss out. Thanks for viewing and please do take a look at my other vintage toy finds.
